Mass General Brigham has appointed Rishi Singh, MD, as Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology. He leads clinical, educational, and research activities across Mass Eye and Ear, academic medical centers, and the broader MGB system. 
Dr. Singh previously served as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Cleveland Clinic Martin North and South Hospitals in Florida, and as Professor of Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Boston University and completed residency training at Massachusetts Eye and Ear through the Harvard Combined Program, followed by a fellowship at the Cole Eye Institute.
A specialist in complex retinal diseases, Dr. Singh has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and led numerous national clinical trials. He is the founder and past president of the Retina World Congress and serves on the board of the American Society of Retina Specialists.
