Sharp HealthCare has appointed Terri Couts, RN, as Chief Digital Information Officer. She joins the San Diego-based health system from Guthrie, where she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer for the six-hospital system.

Couts brings extensive experience in health IT leadership, having previously held roles at NYC Health + Hospitals and Akron Children’s. At Guthrie, she led digital transformation initiatives focused on improving patient experience and operational efficiency.

In her new role, Couts will oversee Sharp HealthCare’s digital strategy across its eight hospitals, advancing technology solutions that support patient-centered care.
