The Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) Board of Directors has selected Scott B. Tittle, J.D., to serve as president of the association. The hiring of Tittle follows a nationwide search to recruit a new president to lead the trade association that represents more than 170 hospitals throughout the state.
“We’re excited to welcome Scott who brings extensive experience in association leadership and health care advocacy, with a deep understanding of the policies that shape our industry,” said Steve Holman, chair of the IHA Board of Directors and president and CEO of Union Health. “By tapping into Scott’s passion for connecting with people and strengthening partnerships, IHA will continue to be a powerful force in improving the health of Hoosiers.”
Tittle was previously managing director for VIUM Capital, an Ohio-based financial services firm that specializes in long term care and senior housing lending, where he led government relations and external affairs. Prior to joining VIUM, Tittle was executive director of the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in Washington, D.C. and president of the Indiana Health Care Association/Indiana Center for Assisted Living (IHCA/INCAL) in Indianapolis where he guided skilled nursing facilities and assisted living operators with their regulatory, reimbursement, and advocacy needs at the federal and state levels.
“I have great respect for all that IHA has achieved through its advocacy and patient safety initiatives, which has helped more Hoosiers get access to the care they need,” said Tittle. “I look forward to advancing the mission of IHA even further by providing leadership and support in a collaborative way so Indiana hospitals can focus on what they do best – delivering affordable, high-quality care.”
