With more than 25 years of experience working with integrated delivery systems and a variety of healthcare organizations on executive search assignments and leadership-related consultations, Paul is well known for his expertise in contemporary healthcare trends and the leadership competencies that are required of high performing organizations.
Since joining the firm in 1994, Paul has supported more than 150 CEO-level searches, experience that allows him to provide thoughtful counsel to client boards in their most important hiring decisions. He is also the recipient of a WittKieffer Quality Award.
Based in Boston, Paul epitomizes the firm’s focus on quality and client service. He manages the search process by thoroughly examining an organization’s culture, priorities and overall leadership needs and closely advising his clients during candidate selection. Paul is a nationally recognized expert and has written in and been quoted in publications such as Trustee, The Corporate Board, Hospitals & Health Networks, and Becker’s Hospital Review. In addition, he speaks frequently to health system trustees, state hospital associations and other professional organizations on healthcare leadership, executive transition and succession planning, and career planning.
Earlier in his career, Paul worked for a member of the U.S. Congress, then later for a Washington, D.C.-based marketing and public relations firm, where he helped design and manage a national recruitment marketing campaign for the U.S. Public Health Service. Paul provided recruitment strategies for the Indian Health Service and National Health Service Corps in their missions to provide care in medically underserved areas.
