YMCA of the USA Appoints Greg Waibel as Chief Operating Officer

YMCA of the USA (Y-USA), the national resource office for nearly 2,600 YMCAs across the country, appoints Greg Waibel as its new Chief Operating Officer. He oversees Y-USA’s finance, technology, and human resources functions, along with the network of staff and partners who support local YMCAs nationwide.

Waibel joins Y-USA after serving as President and CEO of the YMCA of Honolulu, where he led the organization through post-pandemic recovery and growth. Prior to that, he spent 15 years with the YMCA of the North in Minnesota, holding several leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Vice President of Operations.

He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
