Following a comprehensive nationwide search, UC San Diego announced the appointment of Terri Winbush as the Campus Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Winbush will be a member of the Vice Chancellor & Chief Financial Officer’s senior management team as well as the Chancellor’s Cabinet.
Winbush joined UC San Diego seven years ago and quickly assumed a leadership role in employee and labor relations to become Senior Director of HR Strategy and Policy. In this role, she was a trusted partner to many across the campus.
Winbush has been a champion of the renewal of UC San Diego’s campus HR function, which is developing a strategic HR model to deliver a stronger and more consistent value proposition for staff; to establish more flexible strategies to retain and attract talent; to expand role-based training and professional development opportunities; and to enhance access for employees to easily address any HR issue they may have.
