Victoria Hanson Named Regional President and CEO of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital

Victoria Hanson, PhD, MHA, MSW, LICSW, FACHE, has been named Regional President and CEO of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital.

Hanson is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience leading clinical and administrative services in integrated health systems. dr.-victoria-hanson.jpg

She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a licensed clinical social worker. Hanson holds a PhD in social work from Indiana University, a master’s degree in social work from Augsburg College, and a master’s degree in health administration from Louisiana State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology from the University of South Dakota.

“It is truly an honor to be selected as the next Regional President and CEO for Avera Sacred Heart Hospital,” said Hanson. “Over the past few months, I have met so many welcoming, compassionate physicians, leaders, employees, and community members. I look forward to working alongside them, serving Avera’s health ministry, and returning to my home state.”

As Regional President and CEO, Hanson will lead care delivery across the Avera Sacred Heart region and contribute to system-wide strategy as a member of Avera’s senior leadership team.
