Following a comprehensive national search, Loyola University Maryland named Kristi Yowell to be its Chief People and Culture Officer after previously working at the university early in her career. Prior to Loyola, she served as the Associate Vice President for Human Resources at Goucher College and brings more than 20 years of experience in administrative and academic human resources, with the majority spent in higher education.
Yowell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Human Relations and concentration in Supervision and Management of Human Resources from McDaniel College (then Western Maryland College), a Master of Science in Human Resources Development from McDaniel College, the senior professional in human resources (SPHR) designation from HRCI, and the senior certified professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from the Society for Human Resources Management. She currently serves on the boards of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) and Manchester Wrestling.
