The Aligning Leadership for Academic Medicine: A Meeting of the Council of Academic Health System Executives (CAHSE) and Council of Deans (COD) is the only national meeting designed exclusively for AAMC member medical school deans and academic health system executives. The Meeting provides deans and academic health system executives with the opportunity to access shared experiences and learn from global experts about promising practices that can be implemented to address key challenges to sustaining the medical education enterprise. In addition to putting leaders in touch with the ideas and experiences of experts inside and outside of academic medicine, the meeting provides opportunities for networking and interaction based on adult learning principles that will spark the creativity and novel thinking needed to drive change.
