Following a national search, Eastern Michigan University named Katie Condon vice president for enrollment management. Condon joins Eastern from West Virginia University, where she served as director of enrollment management, providing day-to-day supervision and management of the Office of Recruitment. Among her accomplishments, she increased applications of ethnically underrepresented students by 35% and grew international first-year student applications by 220% following the pandemic.
Condon joined the West Virginia University admissions office in 2014, where she also served as instructor for seven years in courses including public speaking, public communication and organizational communication. She is currently pursuing a doctor of philosophy, and earned a Master of Arts in Communication Theory and Research from West Virginia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from Albion College.
