Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC) announced the addition of Michael Castleman, WittKieffer’s Chief Business Officer and Executive Partner for its Global Life Sciences, Investor-Backed Healthcare and Interim Leadership Solutions practices, to its Global Board of Directors. It also recognized WittKieffer’s Morten Nielsen, a Senior Partner in the firm’s Global Life Sciences practice, for his many years of service and commitment to the Global Board.
AESC is the professional association for consultants who represent exemplary standards in executive search and leadership advisory worldwide. Its Global Board of Directors is responsible for strategic planning, operational oversight, and evaluating the organization’s performance – making decisions in the best interest of the executive search profession and AESC members.
Castleman joined the Board in January for his first three-year term. He is a proven leader of business transformation with a unique blend of financial expertise, operational experience, and growth orientation. He previously served as CEO and CFO of CDI Corporation, a $1+ billion staffing and professional services company and spent nearly fifteen years in alternative investing, including venture capital and private equity investing.
Nielsen, with more than three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and executive recruiting, has served the AESC Global Board for seven years, holding positions including Vice Chair, Chair, and Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee. At its most recent in-person meeting, AESC bestowed upon Nielsen a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his service, as well as an honorary lifetime membership to AESC, a first for the organization.
“We appreciate AESC member WittKieffer’s continued commitment to the highest quality standards in our profession. Morten Nielsen made significant contributions to the AESC Board of Directors and the association through his wisdom and strategic focus. While Morten will be missed, Michael Castleman is already bringing his unique insights and innovative ideas to AESC,” said Karen Greenbaum, CEO of AESC.
