WittKieffer is proud to partner with the University of Washington (UW) conduct the national search for their next Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s leading public research universities.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, CISO will lead a comprehensive security program that supports the decentralized units within UW’s federated structure, empowering them to assess and mitigate cyber risks. This program includes implementing enterprise-wide security and privacy services, conducting threat analysis, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations
The successful CISO candidate will:
The preferred candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, cybersecurity, business administration or equivalent work experience and over 10 years of progressively responsible information security leadership, as well as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification, such as a CISSP, CISM, or similar. Master's degree preferred.

The base salary range for this position will be $260,000 – $300,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include administrative salary supplement and allowances.
