Amistad Health is seeking a visionary, mission-driven, and collaborative leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer. This is an exciting and hopeful moment for the organization as it continues expanding access to high-quality primary care, behavioral health, women’s health, and dental services for families across the Coastal Bend region of South Texas.
Designated as an FQHC in 2007, Amistad Health has grown into a trusted, community-rooted provider serving families throughout greater Corpus Christi. With approximately $17 million in annual revenue, the organization operates five sites and one school-based health center, serves 60,000 patient visits each year, and is supported by over 140 dedicated team members united by a deep commitment to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care.
As Amistad expands access by acquiring and opening additional health centers, and strengthening behavioral health services across all locations, the next CEO will guide the organization into a vibrant new chapter of growth and stability.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, this leader will recommend organizational strategy, elevate operational performance, and nurture the trusted community relationships that are essential to Amistad’s long-term sustainability and regional impact. With thoughtful, values-driven leadership, the CEO will help position Amistad Health as a premier primary care provider in the Coastal Bend, and a cornerstone of high-quality care.
Key priorities for the CEO include strengthening provider recruitment and retention, building leadership capacity with an emphasis on teamwork, enhancing service line performance, elevating brand visibility, and supporting philanthropic growth. The ideal leader is visible, collaborative, and grounded in servant leadership—someone who embraces and uplifts Amistad’s mission.
