The Senior Vice President – Chief Digital Information Officer will join HonorHealth at a pivotal point in its evolution. HonorHealth is one of Arizona’s largest nonprofit healthcare systems, serving approximately five million people across the greater Phoenix metropolitan area through nine acute-care hospitals, more than 200 primary, specialty, and urgent care locations, a comprehensive cancer care network, outpatient surgery centers, clinical research, graduate medical education, and community-based services. HonorHealth is also advancing its academic and research mission as the primary clinical affiliate for Arizona State University’s John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering, one of the newest and most innovative medical schools in the country. In this capacity, the CDIO will bring together technology, digital, informatics, data, analytics, and AI execution; establish clear standards and governance; and ensure that platforms and infrastructure can reliably support clinical operations, consumer access, virtual care, advanced analytics, and emerging AI solutions. The leader will assess the current environment with fresh eyes, build on a high-performing Epic foundation, strengthen reliability and resilience, reduce local customization and silos, and introduce the transparency, prioritization, and delivery discipline needed to translate technology investments into measurable clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.
The role also offers a compelling platform for innovation. HonorHealth has begun demonstrating the practical value of AI and automation in clinical and operational settings, and the next CDIO will have the mandate to move promising use cases beyond pilots into governed, scalable solutions. In parallel, the leader will help strengthen the data, analytics, care management, and enable technology required to advance population health and value-based care. Success will require a pragmatic executive who can balance innovation with operational reliability, cybersecurity, responsible governance, workforce readiness, and clear value realization.
