Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS) seeks an accomplished, collaborative, and visionary healthcare executive to serve as the next President of Boston Medical Center South (BMC South). This is a compelling opportunity to lead a respected community hospital that is playing an increasingly important role within one of the region's premier integrated health systems. The President will join the organization at an exciting time of growth and transformation, helping to shape the future of healthcare delivery for Brockton and the surrounding communities while advancing the mission, values, and strategic priorities of BMCHS.
BMC South is a 224-bed community hospital with more than 800 dedicated employees and a longstanding commitment to serving the healthcare needs of its community. The hospital is well positioned to build upon recent momentum and capitalize on the significant resources, clinical expertise, and strategic advantages of being part of the BMCHS. The next President will have the opportunity to lead a talented team while helping to define the hospital's next chapter of growth, innovation, and performance improvement.
Reporting to Joe Camillus, Chief Operating Officer of BMCHS, the President will be accountable for ensuring exceptional clinical quality, patient safety, service excellence, workforce engagement, and financial performance, while fostering a culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, innovation, and high reliability. This leader will help drive the continued integration of services across BMCHS, ensuring that patients benefit from seamless access to high-quality, coordinated care. In partnership with colleagues across the system, the President will identify and execute opportunities to expand access, develop new programs and services, enhance operational effectiveness, improve patient throughput, and position the hospital for sustained growth and long-term success.
The successful candidate will be a proven healthcare executive with significant senior leadership experience in a hospital or integrated health system environment and a demonstrated record of achieving strong operational, financial, and strategic results. Experience leading organizational changes, improving performance metrics, and developing highly effective teams will be essential. Equally important, the President must be an authentic relationship-builder who inspires trust and collaboration across a broad range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success partnering with physicians and clinical leaders to advance service line growth, improve care delivery, and foster shared ownership of quality, outcomes, and operational performance. This leader will also value strong labor-management relationships and cultivate an environment in which employees feel supported, engaged, and empowered to do their best work.
Beyond operational excellence, the President will serve as a highly visible ambassador for BMC South throughout the community. The ability to engage external partners, strengthen community relationships, and advance the hospital's reputation as a trusted healthcare resource will be critical to success. This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a dynamic executive who is energized by transformation, inspired by mission, and motivated by the chance to make a lasting impact.
