CentraCare seeks a strategic, forward-thinking executive to serve as its next Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer (CIO). This is a compelling opportunity to leverage technology to meaningfully enhance healthcare delivery within a growing, financially strong integrated health system.
CentraCare is a $2.1 billion integrated health system with more than 11,400 team members and providers, serving ten hospitals (one of which is under a management agreement) and more than 30 clinics across central and southwestern Minnesota. A physician-led organization with a large, employed provider group, CentraCare has enjoyed a long history of clinical excellence, a strong financial position, and significant market share in the communities it serves. It is well-positioned to advance the organizational objectives and strategies for success outlined in the Quadruple Aim of Quality and Experience, Value, Community Health, and People.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth Holmen, MD, the CIO will serve as a key member of the Senior Executive Cabinet. They will be responsible for advancing and clearly articulating a comprehensive information technology (IT) strategy aligned with CentraCare’s business and operational priorities; building and leading a high-performing, collaborative IT organization; and developing a forward-looking technology roadmap that incorporates digital and AI capabilities to drive innovation and enterprise value. In addition, this leader will optimize core platforms, including Epic EHR and Oracle ERP, while supporting the continued growth and expansion of CentraCare’s Epic Community Connect program.
The CIO will be a visible, emotionally intelligent healthcare IT leader with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams and drive consensus across a complex health system. This individual will be an engaging, relationship-oriented executive who fosters collaboration and trust at all levels of the organization. The CIO will articulate a clear and compelling vision, secure stakeholder alignment, and partner closely with senior leadership to prioritize technology investments that advance business and operational objectives. Establishing a disciplined yet flexible prioritization framework will be essential—one that encourages input and collaboration while maintaining momentum and execution. This leader will balance operational excellence with a forward-looking perspective, staying attuned to emerging trends and innovations in the healthcare technology landscape.

The base salary range for this position is $425,174 to $637,761, commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience. In addition, this executive will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus, retirement, and additional benefits.
