Cook Children's Health Care System (Cook Children's) seeks an experienced, collaborative executive to serve as its Vice President, Chief Data & Analytics Officer (VP/CDAO). This is a unique opportunity to lead data and analytics at one of the nation's leading pediatric healthcare systems.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Chief Digital Information Officer (SVP/CDIO), the VP/CDAO is responsible for the overarching strategy and execution of Cook Children’s data, analytics and research IT initiatives. This role drives the modernization of data engineering and advanced analytics capabilities. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between raw data and actionable intelligence, establishing a robust framework for governance and operational excellence that supports Cook Children's world-class research and clinical operations.
In addition, the VP/CDAO will define and champion strong data management and governance frameworks, enabling reliable and self‑service access to trusted data throughout the organization, and maintain and lead a high‑performing team of data professionals. Beyond traditional data management, the VP/CDAO will establish an enterprise-wide Advanced Analytics Program. This includes the end-to-end orchestration of people, processes, and technology required to deploy machine learning, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence models that drive measurable organizational value. The role will also emphasize innovation and research enablement, advancing data infrastructure to support research initiatives and the continued evolution of a scalable data lake environment. The VP/CDAO will endeavor to advance data literacy enterprise-wide and foster a culture of data literacy.
The successful candidate will be a principled, mission‑oriented executive with demonstrated experience leading enterprise‑wide data functions within a large and complex organization, ideally in a healthcare environment. This leader will combine strategic insight with operational rigor and will be adept at influencing and guiding stakeholders to leverage data effectively. The VP/CDAO will play a critical role in fostering a nimble, evidence‑based culture that advances strategic growth, operational effectiveness, and measurable performance outcomes.
