Summit Healthcare, headquartered in Show Low, Arizona, seeks an experienced, strategic, and mission-driven leader to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is an exciting opportunity to join an independent, not-for-profit health system dedicated to expanding access and delivering high-quality, compassionate care to the rural communities of Northeastern Arizona.
Summit Healthcare is the region’s primary provider of acute and specialty care and is anchored by Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center, a 101 licensed-bed acute care hospital offering a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. Supported by a growing medical group and outpatient clinic network, the organization is well positioned for continued growth and long-term sustainability.
The organization is financially strong, generating more than $300 million in net revenue with a positive margin, and employs approximately 1,500 dedicated team members committed to delivering exceptional care close to home for the residents of the White Mountains and surrounding communities.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will lead all financial operations and performance for the health system, overseeing finance, accounting, treasury, reimbursement, payer contracting, and revenue cycle strategy. Serving as a key advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Directors, the CFO will strengthen financial transparency, guide operating and capital budgeting, maximize revenue growth through payer strategy and service line optimization, and support data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, collaborative financial leader with a strong track record in strengthening financial infrastructure, improving revenue cycle performance, and enhancing service line profitability while balancing operational execution with long-term strategic stewardship in support of Summit Healthcare’s mission.
