Providence, one of the nation’s largest and leading healthcare delivery systems, is seeking a progressive physician leader with a demonstrated leadership capacity to serve in the role of Chief Physician and Transformation Executive (CPTE). The CPTE roll will give an innovative, collaborative, and dynamic physician executive the opportunity to drive strategic transformation and clinical excellence in a mission-driven healthcare ministry characterized by a shared sense of purpose, high functioning leadership and a keen focus on the delivery of high quality.
Providence is a not-for-profit Catholic health system that spans 51 acute care hospitals, with over $30 billion in revenue, 5 million unique patients, 120,000 caregivers and $2.1 billion in community benefit. As one of the largest health systems in the country, Providence has significant scale and resources enabling it to provide a comprehensive range of health and social services across Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. Providence is well known for clinical quality with multiple clinical institutes, dedicated research labs, and 2,000+ clinical trials underway. Providence is distinguished for its leadership in innovation and the modernization of healthcare while also deconstructing and diversifying its assets to provide a strong foundation for decades to come.
The CPTE will lead Providence’s transformation agenda, bringing new models of care and emerging technology to life, providing a catalyst for innovation and creativity across the organization. As the senior physician executive within Providence, this leader will serve as the primary clinical voice for the organization, internally and externally, setting an inspiring vision, building a strong culture of innovation, strengthening the clinical brand, and partnering to implement strategies that ensure clinical excellence. The CPTE will partner with the CEO to provide strategic vision and drive execution on the transformation of care delivery, connecting strategy and operations with the clinical missions of a more consistent patient experience through the enhancement of clinical integration and care coordination across all venues and levels of care.
This is an ideal opportunity for a physician leader who values building genuine relationships and collaborating to design care delivery models of the future.
