Get in TouchLydia Ostermeier-Haynes, M.S.N., B.S.N., R.N. (she/her) is a principal in WittKieffer’s Interim Leadership Practice. Based in Indiana, Lydia is a senior healthcare leader with more than 25 years of healthcare industry experience, including more than 15 years in talent acquisition/development and executive search. In her current role, she uses her vast expertise to identify dynamic interim placements for a wide variety of senior positions for hospitals and health systems.
Prior to joining WittKieffer, Lydia was director, executive recruitment for Indiana University Health, where she led the delivery of system-wide strategic HR support for executive recruitment. In this role, she performed full lifecycle executive recruitment from director level to C-suite. Lydia was the first-line point of contact for senior leadership on workforce development needs, including interim leadership and permanent search strategies. Prior to this, she was vice president of senior executive search with a national executive search firm. Lydia began her career in clinical roles with Indiana University Health, progressing from critical care staff nurse and patient care coordinator to director of nursing, where she held responsibilities for clinical units and then moved on to have greater operational responsibility over a variety of areas including recruitment/retention, workforce development, resource center, customer service and language/interpreter services.
Lydia is a subject matter expert and national speaker on topics such as healthcare leadership competencies, talent strategies, succession planning, generational differences in the workplace, and the emerging roles of physician and nursing leaders. She served as the president of the National Association of Healthcare Recruitment and as president of the Indiana Association of Healthcare Recruitment.
