Based in Denver, Colorado, Ashley Buderus brings nearly twenty years of nonprofit experience to her role as Consultant with WittKieffer. She has an exceptional, versatile background and has particular expertise in advancement and development roles in healthcare, higher education, and nonprofits. Ashley is an inclusive leader committed to helping clients to build equitable and diverse teams. She prides herself on strong, trusting relationships with both clients and candidates as the basis for successful search engagements.
Ashley came to WittKieffer following a consulting role with Aspen Leadership Group. In this position, she partnered with senior consultants to manage nonprofit advancement team searches, emphasizing best practices for inclusive and successful searches. Prior to that, she served as CEO of CiviCO, a Colorado-based community organization that connects and educates leaders in business, government, and the nonprofit sectors. Ashley worked with the Board of Directors to evolve the organization’s mission, create multiple leadership programs, and revise and refine policies and procedures. She previously served in leadership roles at Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation and the University of Denver, helping to execute campaigns with goals totaling nearly $1 billion. She also served as a Senior Program Associate for El Pomar Foundation (for which she still serves on its Denver Regional Council).
