In her work recruiting senior academic leaders, Alejandra Gillette-Teran (she/her) believes in being approachable and available to both candidates and clients. Her goal is to thoughtfully identify leaders who truly connect with the missions of their institutions and find lasting success in their roles. She is based in Los Angeles.
Before joining WittKieffer, Alejandra was a senior associate with a boutique executive search firm specializing in the not-for-profit sector. In this position, she orchestrated executive-level searches in the fields of higher education, health and human services, and arts and culture. She excelled at developing targeted recruitment strategies that resulted in robust and diverse candidate pools. Prior to this, she served as assistant director of undergraduate admission at the University of Southern California, where she created an annual recruitment outreach plan, visiting and presenting at over 75 high schools annually, and conducting the qualitative and quantitative review of undergraduate applications.
Alejandra is active in community organizations and currently serves on the board of Kids’ Community Dental Clinic, an organization dedicated to improving children’s oral health. She is a past board member of the Pitzer College Alumni Association and a former volunteer with Five Acres Children’s Services.
