This is an exciting opportunity to become the top IT leader for an organization committed to the restoration and protection of America’s Everglades through science, advocacy, and education.
The Everglades Foundation works tirelessly to bring people together and provide a powerful bipartisan voice for Everglades restoration. They advocate for solutions rooted in science while empowering people with the knowledge of the importance of the Everglades ecosystem. The Foundation’s team includes renowned scientists, experienced educators, policy experts, and professionals in communications, human resources, finance, and fundraising.
Reporting to the Chief Finance and Operations Officer, the Director of Digital Strategy and Information Technology will work collaboratively with the leadership team, as well as manage, maintain, and enhance Information Technology systems and services for the Foundation. They will also provide enterprise solutions that drive the implementation of the Strategic Plan and coordinate and implement new technology to advance the programs and mission of The Everglades Foundation.
The successful Director of Digital Strategy and Information Technology candidate will:
- Provide technical leadership to align and leverage technology and data solutions to achieve the Foundation’s mission.
- Work together with leadership team to utilize the “Digital and IT Strategy Roadmap” to set priorities for technology initiatives. Drive the efforts and manage the project scope, objectives, and budgets for a large, strategic, multi-year program to implement new technologies.
- Support the key initiatives of the Knight Foundation Grant to implement effective use of digital communications, products, and experiences.
- Implement, support, and manage new CRM and LMS systems in collaboration with departments to increase efficiency, improve data sharing and improve outreach to Foundation stakeholders.
- Identify and develop external partnerships for data sharing and scientific research.
- Assess and implement solutions to consolidate systems for comprehensive use and enterprise-wide adoption.
The preferred candidate will possess Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a focus on computer science, information systems, software engineering, or related technical field and a minimum of 7 – 10 years of IT management, project management, system implementations, operations and data design, or data analytics experience. Master’s degree preferred.
