Jupiter Medical Center seeks an experienced, forward thinking technology leader to serve as its Director, Business Applications (Director). This individual will play a central role in advancing the organization’s business application portfolio, including revenue cycle systems, to ensure critical systems effectively support the medical center’s mission, strategic priorities, and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Kevin Olson, the Director will be a key member of the IT leadership team and will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and financial operations team. In collaboration and with input from others, the Director will be responsible for anticipating operational needs, delivering technology solutions that improve efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership, and executing a unified, business aligned roadmap for enterprise applications.
The Director will guide the enhancement and long-term optimization of Jupiter Medical Center’s business applications, including Epic and Workday, which support finance, accounting, procurement, supply chain, human resources, billing, and reimbursement. The Director ensures these systems operate as reliable, scalable foundations for daily operations and long-range strategic initiatives.
A key aspect of this role is the strategic partnership with Ensemble, which manages outsourced revenue cycle operations. The Director will work closely with Ensemble to align workflows, performance goals, and automation capabilities; coordinate enhancements; manage integration points across the Epic ecosystem; and resolve issues that affect billing and reimbursement. The Director will serve as a primary liaison between Ensemble, internal stakeholders, and IT leadership to drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Director will keep executive leadership informed on progress, risks, system performance, and resource needs. They will safeguard the integrity, security, and reliability of business systems during upgrades, integrations, and enhancements. This leader will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while promoting accountability and effective change management across the organization. The Director will also shape and refine standards, governance practices, and procedures that support quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. Strong partnerships with leaders, staff, clinicians, and key vendors will be essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical, operational, and leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment. They should bring deep expertise in enterprise application management, including hands-on experience with ERP and revenue cycle platforms, and a solid understanding of financial, supply chain, and human resources modules. Success leading high performing teams, managing large application portfolios, and guiding system upgrades, integrations, and process improvements is essential. Strong collaboration, communication, vendor management, and change management skills are required. A bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field is required; a master’s degree or relevant certifications is preferred.
