WittKieffer is proud to partner with Community Memorial Hospital in the search for the next CEO. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead an independent community system in a quaint, vibrant, upstate New York Community, where the CEO's focus will be leading and building upon CMH's strong momentum and organizational strengths. The CEO will continue advancing CMH's values and commitment to providing excellent, compassionate, and accessible care, building on characteristics that include a transformational campus development plan, a broad and growing scope of clinical services, a growing, talented group of providers, strong quality performance, and a dedicated, engaged workforce.
CMH is a growing, high-quality community health system serving Hamilton, New York and communities in the region, which includes Colgate University. While CMH qualifies and operates as a critical access hospital (CAH), its growing and clinically sophisticated scope of services, stellar reputation, broad service area, and strategic plans for growth give it the characteristics of an expanding regional center of care.
The CEO will need to appreciate the value of a community health system and provide enthusiastic and engaging leadership, resulting in outstanding teamwork, strong operational and financial performance, superior quality of care, continued expansion of clinical programs, and coordination of services and program development across its communities. The CEO reports directly to a highly engaged Board of Directors and plays a critical role in developing a partnership with Board leadership to educate, mentor, and guide the Board in their charge as the community leaders responsible for the success of the health system. The incoming leader will build upon the recent successes of the CMH leadership team by exploring new and innovative ways to enhance access to care, invest in technology, and create opportunities to improve the overall health and wellness of the region.
CMH seeks a community-minded, optimistic leader who sees the possibilities for growth and is comfortable serving as the active, visible ambassador of CMH in the community, interacting effectively and authentically with all levels of staff and constituents. A solid track record of collaboration, leadership, and community engagement will be essential for the next CEO to be successful at CMH. It will be necessary for candidates to have, or quickly develop, an appreciation of the highly regulated healthcare environment in New York, as well as demonstrated experience in directly working with, or having had meaningful exposure to a Board. Candidates must have a track record of successfully partnering with providers and clinical teams to support programmatic growth. The next leader will need to have an appreciation of how healthcare providers should be involved in health and wellness initiatives and welcome the opportunity to further engage CMH's constituents on how the organization can support their needs and advance its mission of providing "highest quality, compassionate healthcare for all."
The base salary range for this position is $375,000 to $450,000. In addition, this executive will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus, retirement plan, and additional benefits.
