Virtua Health is seeking a dynamic, mission driven executive to lead these two flagship hospitals that serve the Voorhees and Marlton communities in New Jersey. Virtua Voorhees Hospital is a 402-bed, major clinical hub within Virtua’s expansive regional footprint. Virtua Marlton Hospital is a 198-bed regional medical center known for advanced surgical, cardiovascular, and stroke care, representing essential pillars in a system celebrated for its specialty excellence, academic partnerships, and commitment to innovation and community health. This is a rare chance to shape high impact strategy, elevate performance across two premier hospitals, and lead within a mission driven organization that is defining the future of care delivery in South Jersey.
The President will be a compelling, results oriented operations leader who inspires teams, elevates quality, and builds deep, trusted relationships across the community. As a key member of Virtua’s leadership team, this executive will foster a culture of excellence by partnering closely with hospital and system leaders to accelerate growth, advance innovation, and drive strong, sustainable performance, while ensuring the hospitals remain deeply connected to and reflective of the communities they serve.
Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Dr. John Matsinger, the President will be responsible for all daily administrative and operational functions and will play a key role in advancing growth and strategic plans for both hospitals. The President's role requires an operationally and strategically astute executive who will develop a strong partnership with key constituents and provide focused leadership resulting in strong operational performance and clinical transformation. In addition, the President will oversee Laboratory Services, Radiology, and Surgical Services across Virtua Health.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, forward thinking leader with a strong record of driving operational excellence in dynamic, complex healthcare environments. They bring a balance of analytical rigor and practical execution, someone who is detail-oriented yet also an effective communicator, collaborator, and creative problem-solver. Thriving in a matrixed organization, this leader knows how to navigate interdependencies, align diverse stakeholders, and move work forward through influence as much as authority. They are energized by the work of healthcare operations, willing to roll up their sleeves, and committed to achieving strong financial, operational, and quality outcomes. The base salary range for this position is $375,000 to $470,00. In addition, this executive will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus, retirement plan, and additional benefits. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, and budget.
