Chief Executive Officer
Gifford Health Care
Randolph, VT - United States
Gifford Health Care (GHC) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join this community-focused, non-profit, $80 million health system located in Randolph, Vermont, a community located in central Vermont. As a critical access hospital aligned with a federally qualified health center and a retirement community through a unique model that includes a mirror board governing the health system, Gifford Health Care has established itself as a key asset to Randolph and surrounding communities in central Vermont, offering a broad range of high-quality inpatient, outpatient and senior care services.
Being a small, rural healthcare system allows for close connections internally and in the communities served. Its primary care, rehabilitation services, surgery and senior care services all provide a platform for the CEO to make a meaningful impact on the communities served by GHC.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary, mission-driven leader to provide operational and strategic leadership for an organization with a strong culture of care and compassion and service to the patient, and support for one another. The new CEO will be accountable for continuing to foster these characteristics, focusing and engaging Board members, providers and employees around a well articulated vision for the future of Gifford Health Care as an independent, regional healthcare provider.
The CEO will have the opportunity to partner with a dedicated leadership team and Board of Directors in ensuring the sustainability and success of Gifford Health Care’s legacy of healthcare services. The next leader of Gifford Health Care will be a strategic, relationship-oriented leader who can capitalize on past successes while strengthening and improving the performance and vibrancy of the organization.
Candidates should have at least ten (10) years of progressive healthcare leadership experience at a senior management level in a provider healthcare setting. Building strong provider and community relationships, combined with a performance-driven approach to operational and financial stewardship are imperative. We seek leaders who will demonstrate a meaningful appreciation for the unique regulatory environment in Vermont that significantly impacts decision making. The CEO must be highly involved in civic and social activities in the community. This opportunity offers an excellent chance for a compassionate individual with strong operational skills to lead an independent health system.
