Northwest Hospital, a member of LifeBridge Health, seeks a highly engaging, collaborative, operational Human Resources executive to serve as the hospital’s next Chief People Officer. The Chief People Officer will be a key member of the LifeBridge Health HR senior leadership team and the Northwest Hospital campus leadership team. This leader will have direct accountability for Northwest Hospital’s human resources function.
This executive will be inheriting a strong, cohesive human resources team with a stellar reputation across the campus as well as the health system. The Chief People Officer will need to quickly build credibility among Northwest Hospital’s leadership team as well as staff and providers. It is imperative that this leader is viewed as a visible, approachable, transparent leader able to further build on the hospital’s strong culture. This executive must be viewed as a trusted member of the leadership team and viewed by peers as a collaborative partner and consultant. As a member of the leadership team, the Chief People Officer will actively participate in strategic discussions and initiatives related to Northwest Hospital, including its performance related to the hospital’s balanced scorecard.
The Chief People Officer is responsible for the operational implementation of the cultural roadmap, support of the staffing stabilization plan both short and long term, talent management, employee engagement and employment practices for Northwest Hospital. The successful candidate will possess strong strategic, operational and analytical skills, understand the productivity issues and efficiencies to be gained and have the ability to develop solid metrics and benchmarks for process improvement. The new human resources executive will focus on strengthening the human resources function and its role in impacting management performance, operations, and employee and patient satisfaction. The new leader will need to assess the performance and customer satisfaction with the function, as well as assess and enhance the departmental infrastructure and other processes to improve the overall functionality and responsiveness.
The successful candidate will be a culture builder, possess excellent collaboration skills with the ability to balance the strategic needs of the system with the needs of Northwest Hospital. The ability to communicate and initiate system programs while effectively engaging employees and leadership team is critical. This leader must be able to manage strong personalities balancing the interests of many for mutually beneficial outcomes. This role requires an innovative, emotionally intelligent executive who is by nature highly performance oriented and metrics driven in advancing high quality, contemporary human resources services.
