As part of the Children’s National Heart Center, the Division utilizes multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality and innovative pediatric cardiac care. The team is comprised of approximately thirty-four (34) pediatric cardiologists and eighteen (18) advanced practice providers. Geographically, the Division’s reach is broad, with clinics strategically located across several states. Researchers are accelerating the delivery of innovative therapeutics and novel surgical interventions while seeking to understand outcomes, disease mechanisms, and the best way to deliver care. The Division supports several fellowship programs to develop the next generation of clinicians, scholars, and leaders.
The ideal candidate will be a leader with a strong commitment to enhancing patient and family centered care and outcomes. They will exhibit a collaborative leadership style and possess extensive experience in navigating complex academic environments. A distinguished record of advancing scientific programs in pediatric cardiology is essential. A medical degree (MD) or MD/PhD, board certification in pediatric cardiology, and eligibility for Professor-level appointment at George Washington University School of Medicine are essential requirements.
