OU Health, based in Oklahoma City, OK, has partnered with WittKieffer in seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader to be their next Chief Nursing Officer of Adult Services (CNO).
This is a transformative time for OU Health as the recently unified and rebranded organization embraces the responsibility and covenant as Oklahoma’s flagship academic health system. OU Health is the destination of choice for people with severe and complex health problems and the clinical engine that supports the academic missions of the University of Oklahoma.
Reporting to Stefanie Beavers, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, Chief Nurse Executive, the CNO will be responsible for daily operations, ensuring that nursing care performance meets and exceeds the quality and safety targets established by the system. Additionally, the CNO will build a strategic plan within nursing and gain buy-in from all levels. The CNO must be a strong mentor and coach to continue development of the leadership team. Key priorities for the CNO will include addressing challenges related to recruitment and retention of nursing staff, employee engagement and morale, increasing communication and collaboration across the system, and strengthening quality and safety initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, relationship-building, and nursing operational skills with significant experience developing and executing nursing strategy. Candidates should have experience leading and implementing quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be a charismatic, business savvy leader who holds themselves and others accountable and leads through influence and fellowship.
