OSF HealthCare seeks a dynamic, transformational physician executive to serve as its inaugural Chief Quality Officer (CQO). Reporting to the Ministry Chief Medical Officer, the CQO will be responsible for setting a vision, strategy and organizational structure for quality and safety. This leader will drive performance improvement informed by evidence-based care to fulfill OSF HealthCare’s mission and obligation to its patients and the region. This leader will work across departments and multidisciplinary programs to develop a platform agile in response to quality and safety events, while creating policy and procedures promoting a proactive and strategic approach to clinical risk management. The CQO will partner with clinical and administrative leaders across the health system to spearhead innovative, strategic, and effective safety programs across all modalities of care. They will be a champion for a data-driven approach to advance OSF HealthCare to be a national leader in quality and safety.
The successful candidate will be a physician leader with a proven record of accomplishment in driving quality and safety within a high-performing integrated health system. The CQO will be a visible, transparent, clinically credible, and decisive leader who is able to foster relationships, inspire others, and collaborate across the organization. The candidate must have thorough knowledge of process improvement, publicly reported data, lean methodologies, high reliability methods, change management and a dedication to utilize data to drive system improvements through process and technology.
