St. Clair Health, a 329-bed nonprofit health system serving southwestern Pennsylvania, is seeking an accomplished physician leader to serve as Chair of Medicine. This pivotal role provides strategic and operational oversight of internal medicine services and subspecialties across both inpatient and outpatient settings, while advancing the organization’s academic and clinical missions.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Chair will lead efforts to expand clinical programs, elevate quality and performance metrics, and foster alignment among faculty and community physicians. The Chair will also play a central role in mentoring physician leaders and cultivating a collaborative, patient-centered culture.
St. Clair Health has recently launched its ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency and Transitional Year Program, marking a significant milestone in its evolution into a teaching hospital. The Chair will guide the continued development of these programs, ensuring excellence in medical education, clinical training, and scholarly activity.
In 2026, St. Clair will begin serving as a clinical training site for third- and fourth-year medical students from Duquesne University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Clinical rotations will include internal medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, pediatrics, psychiatry, emergency medicine, and more—further strengthening the system’s commitment to education and community health.
This is a unique opportunity for a visionary clinician-educator to shape the future of medicine at a dynamic and growing health system.
