ForHealth Consulting (ForHealth), headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts, seeks an entrepreneurial, innovative, and results-oriented leader to serve as its next Managing Director of Health Care Financing Solutions (HCFS). ForHealth Consulting is the health care consulting and operations division of UMass Chan Medical School. The HCFS division oversees Medicaid-related revenue recovery, cost avoidance, and program integrity initiatives across 14 states and the District of Columbia. In Massachusetts, HCFS provides critical operational support to the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) and MassHealth in areas such as third-party liability, federal claiming, school-based Medicaid programs, and premium assistance. HCFS also administers the State Supplement Program for approximately 190,000 beneficiaries, manages vaccine reimbursement for local boards of health, and supports statewide health information exchange initiatives.
In Massachusetts, HCFS provides essential operational support to the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) and MassHealth in areas such as third-party liability and benefit coordination, federal claiming for medical services provided at state hospital facilities and affiliated community-based programs, and statewide management of the Massachusetts School-Based Claiming program. HCFS also administers the Medicare Buy-In and Premium Assistance programs, the State Supplement Program for approximately 190,000 beneficiaries, and conducts state lab billing for the Department of Public Health. Additionally, HCFS manages vaccine reimbursement services for nearly 200 local boards of health and provides technical support for the state’s Health Information Exchange-Integrated Eligibility System (HIX-IES) initiative. These programs collectively strengthen the financial sustainability of public health systems and improve access to care for vulnerable populations.
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Vice Chancellor of Operations, the Managing Director will lead the strategic and operational direction of HCFS, ensuring alignment with ForHealth Consulting’s growth objectives and integrated organizational structure. This executive will oversee all aspects of financial management, including budget development, margin forecasting, and federal reimbursement claiming. The Managing Director will drive innovation through new product development, process automation, and operational excellence, while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. This leader will also cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and represent HCFS at regional and national forums to enhance visibility and credibility.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in U.S. health care financing and public assistance entitlement programs, along with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. They will demonstrate the ability to inspire teams, foster collaboration, and deliver measurable outcomes. The Managing Director will play a pivotal role in shaping HCFS’s growth strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring the division continues to deliver high-quality, outcomes-based solutions.
