WittKieffer is proud to partner with Vandalia Health in the search for the system's next Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (EVP & CFO). This is an exciting time for Vandalia Health as it continues its growth trajectory, integration, and service to the people of West Virginia and the region.
Headquartered in scenic Charleston, West Virginia, Vandalia Health was established in 2022 following the merger of CAMC Health System and Mon Health System. Since its inception, Vandalia Health has expanded significantly, adding several hospitals, including Davis Health, and now encompasses 17 hospitals with a combined total of 1,530 beds. This vital and financially strong health system operates 190 ambulatory locations and employs more than 13,000 team members and over 2,000 providers who deliver care throughout West Virginia and in additional locations across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.
Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the EVP & CFO will work as part of an outstanding executive leadership team and serve as a key partner in the financial, operations and strategic direction of the Vandalia Health. The EVP & CFO will lead financial services, treasury, mergers & acquisitions, budgeting and accounting, supply chain and management engineering, managed care and reimbursement, and revenue cycle, utilization review, physician advisory services, and strategic pharmacy. The EVP & CFO will have the opportunity to further integrate these functions across the health system and help develop additional partnerships and acquisitions as well as work collaboratively with operations to position the health system for continued success. The EVP & CFO will inherit a strong and talented team of leaders committed performance as well as community's health and wellness.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, combined with experience as a finance executive in a complex, multi-site health system environment. The EVP & CFO must be an effective business strategist, able to work alongside the CEO, senior leadership, and board members to define and articulate a financial vision. The selected candidate will excel at leading through influence and partnering to drive transformation at all levels. Providing a balance between strategic and operational finance will be critical to the future success of this executive. Additionally, the EVP & CFO will be masterful at leading and retaining top talent, be viewed as a mentor to others, and advocate for and strengthen financial talent across the health system. The EVP & CFO will possess a demonstrated track record of professional growth and strong outcomes with an ability to collaborate and perform within a highly matrixed environment.
