El Camino Health is seeking a dynamic, experienced finance leader to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to El Camino Health’s Chief Executive Officer, Dan Woods, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the financial planning and stewardship of the health system. They will be a trusted member of the leadership team, providing the team, CEO, and Board with timely and accurate information and strategic insights as the system continues its growth trajectory in the region. The CFO will have oversight of accounting, finance, treasury, reimbursement, and revenue cycle management in addition to being a key voice in El Camino’s short-term and long-term strategic planning. The CFO will prioritize growing key services in the region while ensuring the health system continues its legacy of high performance clinically and operationally.
The CFO must be able to proactively identify new, creative opportunities for strategic revenue generation and have a track record of operational performance. They will be an innovative, visible senior leader with the ability to make key decisions quickly and contribute broadly across the El Camino Health System. The CFO will need to be equally comfortable presenting to the Board of Directors and senior leadership, as they are working directly with front-line staff and clinical providers. They will strike a balance between strategic and operational finance and be in tune with the healthcare trends of the nation and within California. They will be a solutions-oriented leader able to implement and improve policies and procedures within finance, such as accounting, revenue cycle, and reimbursement. The CFO will be a gifted collaborator with exemplary communication skills and will quickly establish themselves as the go-to person for financial information and performance updates.
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree or CPA is preferred. Candidates will have finance leadership experience within large complex hospitals or health systems with a minimum of ten years of management experience and five years in senior leadership. Experience working within an integrated California healthcare delivery systems is a plus. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to motivate and influence others through excellence, consistency, passion, and data.

El Camino Health offers a competitive benefits package, including medical and dental benefits as well as paid time off, various insurance coverages, at-risk incentive, and retirement plans for this position. Base salary is commensurate with experience and ranges from $790,000 to $900,000.
