WittKieffer is proud to partner with Main Line Health (MLH) in the search for the next President, Lankenau Medical Center (LMC). LMC seeks a progressive and experienced leader to serve as its next President. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for an individual with a demonstrated track record of successful leadership within clinically sophisticated organizations to further elevate the performance of the largest hospital within MLH.
LMC is a 370-bed major teaching hospital that has been recognized for excellence in the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals report among the top hospitals in the Philadelphia region for exceptional patient care. LMC offers a comprehensive range of primary care, disease prevention, and specialized medical and surgical services, including advanced treatments in cardiovascular, cancer care, maternity, orthopedics, and a level II trauma center. LMC supports complex care treatment through a wide range of specialty care. A leader in medical education, LMC trains a diverse group of residents and fellows participating in various programs across multiple specialties. The hospital is also home to the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research, where groundbreaking research advances the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and offers access to clinical trials.
Reporting directly to the System Chief Operating Officer of MLH, the President will oversee all daily administrative and operational functions of LMC. This executive will be charged with achieving goals of excellent clinical quality, service excellence, and fiscal stewardship while maintaining a very strong reputation for providing high quality care. This role demands an operationally and strategically astute executive who can develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders and provide focused leadership to improve performance indicators. The President will also play a key role in representing the organization within the communities it serves and actively engaging as a leader with a wide variety of constituent groups.
While the key areas of focus will be providing operational leadership and fostering a culture of excellence by partnering closely with key hospital and system leaders, the President will also play a key role in both shaping and executing growth strategies. This will include the development of the St. Charles campus, a large-scale, transformative strategic initiative for MLH.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly relational, entrepreneurially oriented, senior-level operational leader. The selected President will have significant and broad operational and executive leadership experience within a larger scale, similarly complex healthcare environment. Candidates should have a proven track record of ensuring excellent patient experience through high-quality patient care and efficient administrative processes.
