Woman’s Hospital (Woman’s) seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer (SVP/CIO). Woman’s Hospital is located in the vibrant capital city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. One of the first women’s specialty hospitals in the nation, it is currently one of the largest in the United States. As an integral member of the executive leadership team at Woman’s Hospital, the SVP/CIO will provide strategic and operational leadership to guide the future direction of information technology and enable high quality service to clinical and business operations. The SVP/CIO holds a critical position, tasked with creating and executing the hospital’s IT strategy and developing a proactive and aligned IT function that serves as a strategic business partner in support of operations across the organization. This role involves close collaboration with clinical, administrative, and executive leaders to ensure that technology solutions enhance care delivery as well as protect information security and optimize organizational performance.
The SVP/CIO will spearhead the hospital’s digital transformation and promote a culture of innovation while maintaining robust, scalable, and secure IT systems. Women’s Hospital is live with the Epic EHR. The SVP/CIO is responsible for integrating advanced technologies into strategies that improve patient-centered care and drive business value, all in alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
The ideal candidate for the SVP/CIO position will be a driven leader with a proven track record of success in IT service delivery in healthcare. The SVP/CIO will be an engaged, transparent, collaborative, team-oriented professional who can communicate effectively and build relationships with leadership, staff and physicians. Building and leading a highly service oriented culture in IT is essential. The SVP/CIO will be a high energy, passionate leader who is innovative and can effectively prioritize resources and maximize the value of IT investments.
