WittKieffer is proud to announce it is partnering with Monadnock Community Hospital in its search for an authentic, progressive, and visionary leader to serve as its next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most comprehensive, successful critical access hospitals in the country, a highly regarded and innovative organization that is well-positioned financially, clinically, and strategically. This role is coming open upon the planned retirement of Cynthia McGuire, who has served as President & CEO of Monadnock Community Hospital since 2014.
For over a century, Monadnock Community Hospital (MCH) has been a trusted healthcare provider in Peterborough, New Hampshire. A non-profit, Critical Access Hospital, MCH is the hub of a vibrant medical community, with exceptional primary care and specialty physicians. With annual net revenues of approximately $115 million, MCH employs over 560 individuals. The organization also has a robust ambulatory footprint anchored in a legacy of high-quality primary care. MCH employs a network of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers providing a wide range of primary and behavioral health care services for individuals and families with offices in Peterborough, Rindge, Jaffrey, Antrim, and New Ipswich.
As MCH continues to provide and transform healthcare for its community, the President & CEO will collaborate with the Board of Trustees, as well as the executive leadership team, to develop the organization’s long-term vision and strategy and ensure its implementation. The next President & CEO will be a strategic leader who will further advance the efficient, high quality, and financially sound healthcare to the community. As the President & CEO identifies and pursues opportunities to grow and improve services, it is important for this leader to continue to build on the existing strengths of Monadnock Community Hospital’s culture and legacy of transparent, trusting, respectful partnerships with the staff, both clinicians and non-clinicians alike.
The President & CEO must have a track record of engaging staff at all levels of the organization and cultivating an environment of openness, trust, and collaboration. Additionally, this person will be viewed as a leader in the community and the face of MCH locally and at the state level. The President & CEO will be deeply engaged in the philanthropy program, engaging with donors and community leaders on a regular basis. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of executive leadership experience in a hospital, preferably within a community-oriented health system, with a track record of success achieving strong financial, operational, and quality performance.
