Bayhealth seeks a dynamic, distinguished leader to serve as Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIDO). Located in the heart of Delaware and serving a growing population of more than 450,000 residents, Bayhealth is comprised of Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus and Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus, a freestanding Emergency Department in Smyrna, an Emergency and Urgent Care Center, Total Care in Milton, as well as numerous satellite facilities.
The CIDO will provide strategic and operational leadership to guide the future direction of information technology and enable high quality service to clinical and business operations. This position will be responsible for executing on the strategic vision, engaging in long term planning, and providing overall accountability for the IT function. The CIDO will ensure that the IT division’s operations support the organizational mission, goals and objectives, as well as provide leadership and direction in the implementation and evaluation activities of all areas of information technology.
Other specific areas of focus for the CIDO include further developing the patient facing digital portfolio, including the use of AI and other emerging technologies to improve the consumer and provider experience; optimizing current systems, in particular EHR and ERP, to increase clinical and operational efficiency with the goal of providing high-value care; ensuring the appropriate technology for new facilities under construction; and continuing to advance the cybersecurity program.

The CIDO will be a strategist and will bring system level thinking while focusing on the mission and direction of Bayhealth. The CIDO will be an effective communicator who is team oriented and can build strong collaborative relationships and effectively prioritize and maximize IT resources.
