Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Chief Information and Digital Officer, the CAIO is a key member of the Information Technology Leadership Team. The CAIO’s primary responsibility is to drive the strategic vision and execution of AI initiatives in alignment with the University’s mission and in support of clinical care, education, and research. The CAIO will play a central role in ensuring that AI technologies are leveraged effectively and ethically to achieve the University’s academic and healthcare industry leading AI value creation goals. This role will interact with clinicians, educators, and researchers across the University.
The CAIO must be a driven, engaged leader with a practical approach to develop and deliver on a vision for AI enabled transformation working in a large and complex organization. The CAIO will have deep knowledge and a proven track record of successfully implementing AI solutions that dramatically improve operational efficiency and the overall user experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead change effectively are essential. The incoming CAIO must possess a highly inquisitive and creative mind, superior analytical and implementation skills, and the ability to champion initiatives collaboratively in a complex and matrixed environment.
