Froedtert ThedaCare Health (FTCH) seeks a strategic and adaptable executive to serve as its next President, Froedtert Hospital. FTCH is the integration of two premier health systems, ThedaCare and Froedtert Health and now is a $6.4 billion revenue health system with 18 hospitals and over 22,000 employees. Froedtert Hospital has consistently been recognized as a Vizient top 10 performing academic medical center. It is staffed by Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) faculty physicians providing care in all medical specialties and subspecialties, with particular strengths in cancer, heart and vascular diseases, brain injury and disorders, spinal cord injury, transplant, digestive diseases, diabetes, orthopedics, urology, and women’s health. Froedtert Hospital has received its fourth Magnet® designation for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credential Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program and is recognized as high performing by U.S. News & World Report in a number of specialties.
Reporting to the President, South Region, the Froedtert Hospital President will plan, direct, and coordinate all functions of Froedtert Hospital to ensure the strategic objectives of the organization are met in compliance with regulatory guidelines. The President will play a critical role driving the strategic and operational performance of Froedtert Hospital. Through a variety of connection points and as a strategic priority, the President will ingratiate themselves into the greater Milwaukee community – representing the organization purposefully through their actions in the external environment. They will be comfortable communicating with and across diverse and varied socioeconomic urban and suburban cultures. They will lead a strategy that translates the trends and market dynamics into meaningful goals that align with FTCH objectives and positions the Hospital and South Region for growth and market-leading transformation. The President will promote a culture of high-quality, patient centered care delivery and be responsible for the effective management of operations, ensuring financial, operational, team member/provider engagement and quality metrics are achieved.
The successful candidate will be a proven leader with experience in a high performing academic medical center or similarly complex organization with a track record of success achieving strong financial, operational, and quality performance. They will have demonstrated experience leading strategic and operational initiatives as well as developing and implementing approaches to improving quality care, operational effectiveness, and efficiency. The President will be a collaborative leader and clear communicator who is able to foster relationships and facilitate change. A master’s degree in healthcare, business administration or a related field is required. Physician candidates and other clinicians with an advanced degree are encouraged to apply.
