As part of its new strategic plan, the University of Indianapolis seeks to reimagine educational experiences for post-traditional learners while strengthening the competitiveness and economic vitality of the region through corporate, government, and community partnerships.
To advance these strategic priorities, the university has established a new business unit-UIndy Online & Sease Institute-and seeks an experienced, innovative, and collaborative leader to serve as its Founding Dean.
The Founding Dean of UIndy Online & Sease Institute will operationalize the strategy and plans for developing and supporting a robust array of online, hybrid, and face-to-face programs, including fully online degree programs, stackable certificates and credentials, and corporate training and executive education. The Dean will cultivate and steward strategic external partnerships and provide institutional leadership regarding online, professional, and continuing education.

The University of Indianapolis is distinguished by market-responsive programs offered through four academic colleges and seven schools. More than 700 faculty and staff are deeply invested in the success of nearly 5,000 students, including approximately 1,400 graduate students. Through an applied liberal arts foundation and experiential education, the university prepares graduates to be leaders and changemakers who will shape the communities in which they live and serve.
UIndy is committed to being an engine for social mobility and a partner in addressing rapidly changing workforce demands and learner preferences. In 2019, the university established the Sease Institute to support regional workforce needs by offering tailored business solutions for employers, including noncredit certification programs and on-demand offerings for employees.
The successful Founding Dean candidate will have a deep understanding of professional education and prior experience building, leading, and/or managing a complex online education enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a master’s or doctoral degree and significant relevant operational and administrative experience.
