Episcopal Health Services, Inc. (EHS), located in Queens, New York, seeks nominations and applications for its inaugural Chief Diversity Officer (CDO). The Chief Diversity Officer will report directly to the organization’s Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, Sharika Gordon, and will serve on Episcopal Health Services, Inc.’s leadership team. The Chief Diversity Officer will ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion strategies are embedded into the system’s strategic plan. St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, Episcopal Health Services, Inc.’s main campus facility, employs over 400 physicians and approximately 2,000 employees. The Chief Diversity Officer will partner with Episcopal Health Services, Inc.’s leadership team, physicians, staff and other key leaders to build a comprehensive diversity, equity and inclusion program across the organization.
The Chief Diversity Officer will serve as Episcopal Health Services, Inc.’s senior diversity, equity and inclusion leader. They will coordinate efforts to develop a comprehensive diversity, equity and inclusion strategic plan in alignment with the hospital’s strategic plans. Areas of focus include diversity pipeline and recruitment, employee retention and engagement, workplace culture, cultural competence and education, AA/EEO compliance, patient care disparities, health equity and community advocacy. The new leader will build programs and dashboards to monitor the success of initiatives and strategies.

The estimated salary range for this position is $215,000 to $245,000.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range. Compensation takes into account several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by EHS. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package and an annual bonus incentive.
