The Vice President, Ambulatory Care will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and is responsible for overseeing and managing of over 80 ambulatory care clinics across the Health System. The incoming Vice President will serve as an operational leader and partner in advancing key strategic areas, including oncology, orthopedics, neuroscience and cardiovascular care. The Vice President will also serve as a strategic partner in creating the future of ambulatory care at UCI Health, leading innovative models of patient-centered care and planning for future ambulatory expansion. This includes building out Irvine-Newport Medical Campus with the state-of-the-art Ambulatory Care Center which is anticipated to open for patients in July 2024. Clearly the UCI Health system is in growth mode, having recently completed the acquisition of four hospitals and their associated outpatient locations. This growth will move the system to over $4 billion in net revenue with an expanded ambulatory footprint and volumes. Continued growth is anticipated throughout the next decade.
Candidates should possess senior leadership experience in ambulatory care, a strong track record of achievement and a history of successfully working in a complex, highly matrixed healthcare organization. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree, M.D. or clinical credentials preferred.
