The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) seeks a Senior Director of Development, School of Medicine (Senior Director). This is an exciting opportunity for an established fundraising professional to join a leading academic medical center.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Development for the School of Medicine, Centers, and Institutes, the Senior Director will spearhead fundraising efforts for various priorities within the School of Medicine, aligning philanthropic activities with strategic university-wide programs and enhancing donor relationships across diverse disciplines. This role is crucial in expanding interdisciplinary donor support that meets the institution’s priorities and complements donor goals.
The Senior Director joins a growing and highly regarded fundraising team. They will direct and coordinate philanthropic activities that advance strategic university-wide programs to build interdisciplinary donor support that complements donor goals. Responsibilities will include managing a portfolio, developing donor and prospect relationships to increase the number of donors university-wide, and expanding donor support for university priorities. This unique opportunity will be part of a dynamic fundraising team that will play a key role in helping build a comprehensive health systems advancement program with aspirations and expectations to achieve record-breaking results.

The successful candidate will have at least seven years of experience in fundraising, public relations, or alumni relations, preferably within a complex medical center or healthcare environment. Joining a team of high-caliber peers, the Senior Director will collaborate with other senior directors, each sharing a passion for elevating the health and well-being of South Texas.
