TriHealth seeks a dynamic executive to serve as its next Vice President, Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO). This is a unique opportunity at a world-class health system with a strong track record of innovation and high-quality outcomes, located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer (CIO), the CMIO is a role of significant importance to the organization with responsibility for provider optimization, training, prioritization and innovation, across the $2.5 billion health system. This leader is responsible for improving the physician experience throughout the health system by developing an informatics program and team with a focus on optimizing and innovating the use of the EMR, Epic, and all the systems that comprise the broader portfolio of clinical applications and clinical processes. The CMIO will offer strategic guidance on initiatives focused on quality improvement, analytics, physician well-being, innovation, and other vital organizational goals. They must consistently look for ways to facilitate seamless patient care delivery for the clinical community, while actively seeking opportunities to alleviate burnout by refining processes and implementing user-friendly technology solutions. The CMIO is instrumental in supporting enterprise strategies to achieve the highest outcomes in patient safety, quality of care, physician engagement, operational performance, research and education across the clinical continuum.
The CMIO must develop strong, trusting relationships and communicate effectively across the health system. The CMIO must be viewed as a collaborative leader who is customer-focused and patient-oriented, leading change effectively and delivering results within a transforming and complex health system. The CMIO should have a transparent and proactive communication style and be able to speak effectively with diverse stakeholder groups including clinicians, IT professionals, researchers and executive leaders.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and elevating clinical informatics programs that improve clinical outcomes and physician engagement. The CMIO must be someone who thrives in being a visible leader, motivating and managing people and resources across the organization. The CMIO must be a leader committed to fostering inclusivity and possessing the ability to advocate for how processes and technology can optimize care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the well-being of physicians.
