Rachel Polhemus, Senior Partner, has extensive experience as an executive search consultant, with over 20 years of experience at WittKieffer, complemented by management consulting experience for leading healthcare and Fortune 500 companies. Since joining WittKieffer, Rachel has supported nearly 120 CEO-level recruitments for healthcare organizations. Rachel believes in working closely with each client to explore their current and future leadership needs and to identify executives who can excel within the organization’s culture and within a highly competitive business environment. Her experience and educational background in health administration and information technology give her unique insight into the nuances of today’s healthcare leadership.

Based in Bethesda, Maryland, Rachel recruits for key senior leadership roles in healthcare, academic medicine, public health, and the health administration sector, with particular expertise in identifying CEOs and other C-suite executives. Before joining WittKieffer, Rachel served as an Associate Vice President at a small healthcare consulting firm in Alexandria, Virginia.

Earlier in her career, Rachel spent five years as a Consultant with Accenture, a leading management consulting firm in Reston, Virginia. She developed key working relationships with clients, vendors, and other project team members in creating technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. Additionally, she worked as a Consultant in the human resources group, providing support for human resource management and operations.

Rachel speaks and writes regularly on leadership topics important to executives and devotes time to working with her network of contacts on career development. She serves as Vice Chair of WittKieffer’s Board of Directors and serves on the Governance and Nominating Committee.
