Get in TouchMeredith Davis, Ph.D. is a dynamic, creative, client-focused search consultant with more than 20 years of leadership success in higher education. The experiences which inform her executive search practice include roles spent spearheading strategic plans, policies, programs and initiatives that fostered institutional student development, services, diversity, equity, access, and inclusion. At heart, Meredith is a relationship builder, whether with clients, candidates or leaders across academia.
Prior to joining WittKieffer, Meredith was associate vice president for student engagement at Syracuse University. In this role, she provided direction and strategy for six key departments. Among her many responsibilities, she oversaw the university’s initiative to create and sustain a campus culture and climate that embraces diversity and inclusion of all members. Before that, she was associate dean of students, divisional strategy, inclusion, and involvement for Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. In this inaugural role, she led division-wide strategic planning for staff onboarding, professional development, diversity, and inclusion. Prior positions at Rhodes included associate dean of students in the Office of Inclusion and Involvement as well as assistant dean of students in the office of multicultural affairs. Earlier in her career, Meredith was the manager of school programs and instructional relations at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, director of the Upward Bound program at Coppin State College, and director of the African American Cultural Center at Towson University.
Throughout her career, Meredith has made it a point to support and lead initiatives that inspire others, move institutions forward, and improve academia and society.
