Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs, the Assistant Dean is responsible for leadership in meeting the goals of the division and assuring congruence with the mission and vision of the CON and UMMC. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field and a graduate degree with a major in nursing; minimum of five years of experience in an academic leadership role; credentials that merit appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor in nursing.
Based in Omaha and Lincoln respectively, UNMC is the state’s only public academic health sciences center with six colleges and two institutes, serving about 3,700 students in more than two dozen programs. UNMC is the health sciences center campus of the University of Nebraska system.
