Eisenhower Health seeks a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as the next Director of Human Resources (Director). This position within a 463-bed hospital located in Coachella Valley, CA, serves as a vital leader and an engaged partner with the HR and leadership teams of Eisenhower Health. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director will be responsible for leading, developing, and maintaining a high-quality, comprehensive human resources program that supports the institution’s mission, values, and strategic plan. The Director will focus on key areas such as onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, coaching/performance management, legal/compliance and absence management. The ability to be agile in all functional areas while supporting change management and process improvement strategies will be crucial for this role.
The ideal candidate will possess sound business acumen and extensive HR leadership experience within a hospital and/or health system setting. Experience in complex and consensus-oriented environments is highly valued. Proficiency in all facets of HR is essential, including but not limited to employment practices, Joint Commission requirements, immigration, recruiting, employee development, employee relations, employment law, and workforce planning.
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of progressive HR management experience is required.
